Grand Rapids Pup Portraits
As a passionate portrait photographer and devoted animal lover, I believe there is no bond quite like that of a dog and their person. Our dogs give us their whole hearts—their world revolves around us—offering unwavering loyalty, companionship, and unconditional love. That kind of devotion deserves to be celebrated and remembered. Through timeless portraits, I capture the essence of your beloved pet, preserving their spirit and the special connection you share for years to come.
My approach is super relaxed but most importantly it’s all about you and your dog. The direction of the session will change depending on what best suits your personalities. Expect to wander ahead, stop for cuddles and play with toys for an hour or so. You’ll be asked to hold the lead (I’ll show you how), or if your dog will sit and stay on command, we’ll work off lead. We’ll use squeakers and treats to capture their attention, and lots of positive reinforcement.
Oh don’t worry about that! We’ll be running around playing together- all of which will be captured and can be done on-lead if needed. Then there’s cuddles with you if you’re up for it which will help to calm them down, and then there’s my dog whispering super-powers (mostly treats) for the in-between moments!.
You’re not alone! We’ll use Photoshop magic to remove the lead from the photos afterwards!
